Roy is an experienced education consultant with over 30 years’ expertise in food, textiles, and ICT.

Formerly Managing Director and Head of Education at the British Nutrition Foundation, he has led major national and international programmes, resource development projects, and curriculum frameworks that have shaped food and textiles education.

Roy originally trained as a food and textiles teacher and went on to complete an MA in ICT in Education. His career spans teacher training, assessment, programme design, research, and international presentations. More recently, he has explored the role of AI in supporting innovative yet practical approaches to teaching.

Current projects include social media and content development for the Food Teachers Centre, resource creation for national food education initiatives, and research into the future of textiles education with the Textiles Skills Centre.
