Nerys Tudor Jones has over 25 years of teaching experience across the primary phase, including six years as a Deputy Head Teacher. Passionate about raising the profile of Design and Technology, including textiles, she champions its role in fostering creativity, innovation, resilience, and problem-solving. Nerys believes D&T equips learners with transferable skills, encourages sustainable thinking, and opens doors to future opportunities in a rapidly changing world.

 

Nerys Tudor Jones is now a Design and Technology consultant, author, and award-winning educator, providing training, INSET, and school support, as well as delivering courses with Collective Learning. She has worked with the Welsh Government on national projects, presented at major conferences including the Birmingham NEC, and represented Wales in the James Dyson Innovation Group.

 

Nerys’ passion for Design and Technology began in secondary school, where she achieved an ‘A’ grade for Design & Technology at A level, before going on to study at university, completing a 4-year B.Ed specialising in D&T.
